To set Fedit as your defualt file editor for a certian file type you need to, in Windows 98, Open My Computer Select View, Folder Options, File Types. Scroll down to and double click the file that you want Text Edit to be set to open , or single click and press Edit button. This should open the "Editing action for type:XXX" dialog. Make, and accept, the needed changes. In Windows Xp you open My Computer select Tools, Folder Options, Flie Types. Select the file that you want Text Edit to be set to open click Advanced and then click Edit. Make, and accept, the needed changes. The needed changes are change the application needed to open to "C:\Program Files\Fedit.exe" "C:\Program Files\Fedit.tkn" "%1". Then you can double click on whatever file you set as default and open it in Fedit.
